How to make Garlic Naan without Oven | No Tandoor | No Oven | Butter Naan Recipe


This Garlic Butter Naan recipe is so easy to prepare without Oven or Tandoor. I am going to share you the delicious, best ever restaurant style Garlic Butter Naan Recipe prepared at home. Its actually a Pakistani / Indian flat bread which is mostly served along with curries or especially with traditional Chicken Karahi. Its completely a homemade garlic butter naan Recipe. I have explained with two methods, without Oven | Tandoor and With Oven.
You may try any one of these methods. Do let me know how it turns out. Here is the detailed recipe :

Preparation Time : 40 to 45 minutes ( Dough : 2 to 3 hours )
Baking Time : 10 - 15 minutes
Serves : 4 - 5

STEP 1: PREPARE DOUGH:

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of milk powder
  • 1 tbsp of instant yeast
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp of Salt
  • 1 tsp of Baking soda
  • 1 tbsp of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Warm Milk
  • 1/3 cup of Yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp of melted Butter
  • Water as needed to Knead
  • 1 tbsp of oil/Ghee
METHOD: 

  • In a bowl, add in all ingredients and knead to a smooth dough.
  • Gradually add water as kneaded to form a smooth dough.
  • Add in Ghee.
  • Cover the bowl loosely with the plastic wrap and rest for 2 to 3 hours.

STEP 2: PREPARE BUTTER GARLIC TOPPING:

Ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp of Chopped Garlic
  • 2 tbsp of melted Butter
  • 1 tbsp of Chopped Coriander 
METHOD: 
  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl and Set aside.

STEP 3: ASSEMBLING:

Ingredients:
  • Rolling Pin
  • All purpose flour to dust
  • sesame seeds
  • Nigella Sativa / Kalonji 
  • prepared Garlic butter Mixture
METHOD: 
  • Dust the work surface with all purpose flour lightly.
  • Knead the dough on your work surface it will help to release additional air bubbles.
  • Knead the dough properly, if the dough doesnot spring back, it needs more kneading.
  • Cut dough Ball into 4 equal parts.
  • Then make balls from equal parts of Dough.
  • Make round bread with the help of a rolling Pin.
  • Place round bread over the pan.
  • Make small holes with the help of a fork.
  • Complete the process by spreading garlic butter mixture on the prepared nan.
  • Spread sesame seeds and Nigella Sativa/ Kalonji all over the Naan.
  • With the remaining Dough balls, combine to make a big Naan from dough. Repeat the same procedure as explained earlier.

STEP 4: BAKING:
i) Without Oven


METHOD: 
  • Preheat the wok by placing a wire rack on a high flame.
  • Place the prepared Naan on a wire rack and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes. Be careful its hot.
ii) With Oven


METHOD: 
  • Preheat Oven to 220 C ( 425 F ) temperature.
  • Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.

SERVE AND ENJOY!!! You may cut into pieces.
