Sheer Khurma | Eid Special Recipe | Famous Dessert Recipe by Food Kernel
Preparation Time : 25 to 30 minutes
Cooking Time : 10 - 15 minutes
Serves : 3 - 4
STEP 1: FRYING NUTS AND VERMICELLI :
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 cardamom pods
- dried Dates (Soak for 1 to 2 hours, vertically slice them)
- Almonds (Soak for 1 to 2 hours, Peel and vertically slice them)
- Cashew Nuts (Soak for 1 to 2 hours, vertically slice them)
- 1/3 cup of Ghee / Clarified Butter
- 1 cup of broken Vermicelli
METHOD:
- In a pan, add ghee, cardamom pods, dried dates, cashews and almonds.
- Saute for 1 to 2 minutes and set aside.
STEP 2: ASSEMBLING:
Ingredients:
- 500 ml of full fat Milk
- 1 tsp of kewra Water
- 1/3 cup of Sugar
- 8 to 10 raisins
- 2 to 3 tbsp of Milk Powder / Khoya / Mava
METHOD:
- Saute Vermicelli in the same ghee till light golden brown in color. Set aside.
- In a pot, add milk, bring it to boil the add previously fried Vermicelli. Let it cook for few seconds till vermicelli becomes soft.
- Add in previously fried Dates and Nuts, kewra water and Sugar.
- Cook on low flame for about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add in Raisins and Milk powder.
- Stir and Switch off the flame.
SERVE HOT SHEER KHURMA IN DESSERT BOWLS AND ENJOY!!!
